An annual fundraising and FUN event for children of all ages. 
One thousand cute little rubber ducks (with sunglasses) compete on the Tay River at the Stewart Park Festival in July. In 2001, the Perth Lion’s Club bought the racing ducks for YAK, and all annual proceeds from ticket sales support our Youth Service programs.

EMPTY BOWLS

We are very grateful to Jackie Seaton for his inspiring Empty Bowls project. Every year, Mr. Seaton donates 500 hand-made salt glazed bowls to the project, raising money for community food support programs and the awareness of persistence of hunger in our communities.

During the Festival of the Maples, the bowls are displayed in front of the Riverguild store in Perth and local restaurants donate delicious soups to fill the empty bowls. Proceeds from this initiative almost entirely support YAK’s Dinner Program and Open Kitchen...  Thank you Jackie!
