The United Way of Lanark County’s 2009 Campaign is well underway.
It is in these tough economic times when the services of our 16 member agencies are in the highest demand. Without the support of our donors, these agencies would not be able to do the work they do serving over 7,500 individuals per year.
This year, our goal is $370,000 and we are asking the community of Lanark County to chip in, in any way they can. On July 6, 2009, we will be sending out our Corporate Donation Package. Then, on September 21, 2009 the Individual, Professional and Small Business Donor Letters will be sent out. This will be followed by the Campaign Kick Off Breakfast on September 25th at 7:30 AM in Smiths Falls. The breakfast allows the donors in Lanark County to gain more insight into where their money goes and the worthwhile and essential services they have an opportunity to support.
During the months of October and November, United Way of Lanark County will be featured both online ( www.emconline.ca) and in print in the EMC. Look for our ad on October 22, 2009 and for our on-line advertising for both October and November. Both advertisements will make the Agency much more accessible to potential donors and offers a more convenient way of donating. All of these events will culminate on November 27, 2009 with the campaign touchdown. As always though, the United Way will welcome any donations after this date.
